London airdrops a man codenamed Hercules near the camp. At the same time General Stauffen will be conducting an inspection of Stalag 13. Hercules' mission is to switch his briefcase with Stauffens. Stauffen is part of the plot to assassinate Hitler and Hercules' briefcase is equipped with a time bomb. Everything is proceeding as planned until Schultz unknowingly arms the bomb. Written by

This story is based upon the real 1944 Hitler assassination attempt. In July 1944, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg carried a briefcase loaded with explosives into a staff meeting. The bomb went off, but Hitler was only injured because the heavy oak conference table shielded him from the blast. Von Stauffenberg was quickly arrested and then executed. See more
