A scene lingers between Jonathan and the son, both framing a blue barrel bearing a warning label for the chemical inside. However, the word is spelled in caps as "MALIATHON". The actual word is spelled---and pronounced!---"MALATHION". The government would end up spraying this toxic chemical all over the greater Los Angeles area, over and over again in the late 80's, under (now questionable) claims that they were trying to get rid of an invasive "fruit fly" species. (It is futile to try to get rid of insects by spraying pesticides from helicopters.) Many cars paint jobs were ruined by the chemicals, and many people's---and animals'---health were forever damaged due to the (later abolished) yearly practice.
The President says, in bed, to his wife, about Jonathan: "(That's) the man of my dreams!" when he should have instead said "That's the man from my dreams".
At just past the 31 minute mark, Bonnie approaches the water truck. A crew member is clearly seen on the left side of the scene operating a wind machine and tossing a tumbleweed toward the truck.
