Warning: Spoilers
Anne arrives in France to meet up with Duncan. Whilst at the airport a woman collapses and Anne attends to her. Later she does meet up with Duncan and he explains immortals to her. The woman at the hospital, Tasha, is a drug courier and was carrying them inside her body when the balloon burst. Her boyfriend drug dealer is a Russian immortal, Kristov, that Duncan knows from the past.

Loved Duncan's look in the flashback to Russia in 1750. Great job to the wardrobe people. Kristov actually seems to like Duncan at first. But later drunk Duncan seems wary as does Kristov. Remember in 'Counterfeit: Part 1,' Duncan is betrayed by what he thought was a friendly immortal in 1730. That lesson stayed with him. Kristov and his cossacks are warmongers used by the Tsar as enforcers and pays them to get rid of migrants. He actually doesn't see that he is doing something wrong. Duncan sides with the migrants who are just farmers not warriors.

Loved that Richie came into his own. He doesn't need Duncan to come rescue him anymore. I just wish we could have seen the whole fight.

I read in the trivia that at the end when Duncan and Anne kiss there is a blurred figure in the background. It's supposed to be Joe on watching duty. Good catch.

Kristov started off seemingly dangerous and intelligent. But ended up being lame. He knew Tasha was still alive and could tell Duncan at any time where he was. Yet he stayed at that location and kidnapped Richie and held him there. Then later Richie owned his a$$. Which was even more satisfying since Kristov acted so braggart to him. I gave the episode a 7/10.

One of my favorite scenes in Highlander

Warning: Spoilers
The first time I saw this episode, (I'm currently watching the entire series for the third time) I got such a kick out of watching Richie grab his sabre and go looking for immortal bad guy Kristov. Richie knew that he was ready. He had zero lack of confidence and was ready to take names (or a head). However, just like Duncan I was a little worried about Richie during the flashes of the quickening. I first thought it would have been interesting to see the entire sword fight, but later I was glad the scene was planned this way because there was such a great feeling of relief and satisfaction to see Richie walk back inside the building with that big grin on his face, not to mention that look of relief on Duncan's face.
