I find this episode to be one of the more creative attempts to diversify the series. The "Dark Quickening"is meant to be a myth as explained by Dawson, only Koltec was Heyoka, which would give good explanation to the one time only condition with Duncan, and not having a Dark Quickening every time he kills someone terribly evil, such as Kronos, or Kalas. Just my opinion though. It probably could of been incorporated in the script to clarify, but I'm sure most fans may have already picked up on that fact. By the way Duncan plays a good bad guy,we all wanted to see him let loose on Richie. The Bryce Korland character (played by Benjamin Ratner),was also a good touch, always liked that skit.
