Immortal man stalks his immortal ex. Amazing Grace song misused. Really like the character of Grace.

Grace an immortal is being stalked by a man, Carlos played by Georges Corraface, also an immortal. She left him a hundred years or so ago and he can't let go.

Grace is a stunning looking woman who reminds me of Tessa. They both have inner strength and are class acts. Grace was involved with Duncan as his flashback attests to. I wouldn't have minded if they had brought her in later seasons as a pairing for Duncan. The pairings Duncan had in later seasons were awful. I love that Tessa and Grace became friends.

Love the song 'Amazing Grace,' and I'm not even religious. I think it's a beautiful song especially meaningful for religious people. However, the song was misplaced here. For some reason, I guess since her name was Grace they thought they should use the song. But the song is about faith in God. The episode was literally not about this. The moment was literally not about that. It's used correctly in a more relevant episode in season 5, episode 8, 'Little Tin God.'

I loved Duncan's smile in his flashback when the baby Grace is delivering starts crying. You can see his admiration for her as she delivers the baby. I would have liked to see more of their past romance. They had chemistry.

Paul, Grace's mortal husband seems like a schmuck. But apparently, Grace was with him for 40 years. Now that he's older he's jealous and thinks she'll dump him for a younger man. He decides to leave her before she leaves him. She had no plans to leave him. She still loves him. He was just an idiot. Carlos kills him and frames Grace so that he can force Grace to flee with him.

They chose to use a train to killed Carlos instead of Duncan. I'm guessing it's because Grace yelled at them, "no more killing," so the writers decided that Duncan wouldn't actually kill him. The one thing I don't like about Grace is that it appears she doesn't fight. As tho, she doesn't even have a sword. How she lasted this long without being killed is an oddity. Duncan never mentions it, yet in later seasons he is adamant that newbie immortals learn to fight. Maybe Grace was always a healer even before she became an immortal and killing is an antithesis to her. I really liked the character of Grace otherwise and wish she had been back for more. Gave the episode a 7/10.

A hauntingly sweet epi...

Not the first one with a female Immortal just one that could have had a moment with Mac, and Tess, after the first Initial reaction with jealousy, point blank asks, do you love her? Mac, no, Tess says that's all that needs to be said, she's your friend, she's been hurt, you'll help her, I'd expect no less...Do love the Mac and Tess love/life story/stuff, the way they had her character and the way AV played her, was well cast and she played off AP very well, you really do think of them as a couple...missed her when she decided to leave, understood but still.

Grace, her mortal husband (having a few pobs as she is the same as when they met and he is now looking like the much older man, he does/did resent her for it even though tried not to) was murdered by a former Immortal love (maybe but I think not real...)/lover, Carlo, who is framing her for it so he can "run" away with her for decades as he really doesn't love her is just totally obsessed (deranged I think). Grace doesn't want Mac to go after him, don't want to loose him, hmm OK Carlo could get lucky...and nice touch with Darius and her knowing him too...and so few left with Darius getting killed (as WS was dying/died, no one knew he was sick and when they found out, could not believe how sick he was as he had a strong work ethic.)

Poor LeBrun and the other 2 cops, and even Grace, although so very diff than well think it next epi or 2 with AMANDA (some like and some really don't your choice, she kinda grew on me...)how 2 very diff women, Immortals survived (and both very diff than Cassandra future seasons), and ya we do have a few more but think at least my mem thinks these were ones who touched Duncan more than others, if that changes will update.

Glad Duncan took care of Carlo, he really had lost it in the end and well therapy for an immortal would deff be interestin and well cost more mortal lives. Grace and her goodbye bittersweet getting away now esp with name cleared, she has/had a lot to deal with and sort through she can now grieve her lost properly and move on eventually.
