Michelle was annoying. Pretty cool fight and striking moment for Duncan. Is Amanda a good teacher choice?

Warning: Spoilers
Duncan helps Michelle, a newly "born" immortal. She is the adopted daughter of friends. She's 18 years old and has anger issues with her parents. She ends up driving her car off a cliff. Duncan tries to help her but an old immortal enemy, Axel, shows up. Axel has a history of using young female immortals, never training them to fight, and using them to lure other immortals to their deaths. When he no longer finds them useful, he kills them.

Well, Michelle was an annoying character wasn't she? Hoo boy, could not stand her.

Duncan is the wrong teacher for Michelle. "There's so much for you to do, for you to see. You can go to school. You can go to Tibet." I chuckled when Duncan said this. He is so outta touch with young people. This is not exactly enticement for someone like Michelle, or most teenagers for that matter.

But is Amanda a good teacher choice? I'm not so sure about that. Amanda can be fickle, enjoys stealing, gets in trouble when she's bored. After this episode, we never hear of Michelle again. Maybe Amanda couldn't stand her either and killed her. Just joking although I wouldn't blame her.

Duncan taking Axel's head was pretty cool. They both fell into the water. Duncan emerged first. Then Axel emerged which was the perfect striking moment for Duncan.

I gave the episode a 7/10.

Duncan has his work cut out for him

Warning: Spoilers
I personally thought this was a very interesting episode. It deals with another new immortal, Michele, who Duncan knew was destined to become immortal since she was very young. The topic of new immortals is never fully explained in Highlander and so it was interesting to see this episode play out. Duncan was trying to help This new immortal who was confused and afraid but also who was a rebellious teenager. She refuses to accept the reality that her life will change completely because she is now an immortal. Eventually Duncan and Axel face each other in battle, even though there is a witness watching them. Not a problem since the person watching them fight is new immortal Michelle and she needs to see this, to see first hand what happens in an immortal's life, if he or she is to go on living. Duncan could have taught Michelle how to fight and use a sword, but I'm glad that Amanda agreed to teach Michele because Amanda has been around for 1,200 years and she knows how to survive. We never see Michelle again in the Highlander series. it would have been interesting to see her later and to see how her training with Amanda had gone. It would have been interesting to see Michelle's development as an immortal.
