Love that the story of Duncan's Native American family that was mentioned in the pilot is told. Richie goes through some immortal growing pains.

Warning: Spoilers
Richie's old girlfriend, Donna, tells him he is the father of her son. Kern, the immortal who killed Duncan's Native American family shows up.

Donna would have made a great immortal. Did you see how she whipped that kid from out of nowhere to show Richie, just like when immortals whip their swords out from their coats out of nowhere? I chuckled at this scene.

Donna wasn't on the show before. Maybe they should have made it Angie instead?

They tell the story about Duncan's Native American family, mentioned in the pilot episode, 'The Gathering.' I'm glad they came back to tell this story. Props to them for doing that. Duncan has a wife, Little Deer, and son, Kahani. Duncan has always said he was never married, but I look at this as a marriage.

Whoa, Duncan and Kern go right at it out in the open in broad daylight and into the church. Imagine today, with all the cell phones taking pictures. Loved the rock music they played for those few seconds which set the tone for the animosity between these two. Kern reminds me of The Kurgan from the Highlander movie. Kinda crazy and evil but sorta funny in a way. Great job by the actor.

The convo between Duncan, Richie, and the priest was funny.

Duncan goes to Joe to find Kern. Joe gives him a general location. Later Joe tells Richie that immortals can't have children even before they are "reborn." I love that Richie still wants to be a father to Jeremy even tho he's not his son. Duncan rightly points out it's not a good idea but leaves it up to him.

It was poetic that Duncan killed Kern with his spear. That was so fitting. Loved the quickening where he saw his family again. Very touching.

I had to laugh when Donna slapped Richie when he said it wasn't going to work between them. I mean she basically lied to him. And even if she really believed he was the dad, which I doubt, she kept him from Richie for almost two years. Yet somehow SHE"S indignant?

I loved that the story of Duncan's Native American family was told and that he got closure. Good job showing Richie going through some immortal growing pains. I gave the episode an 8/10.
