Big John is suffering from exhaustion and the cure is time away from the ranch. He and Victoria leave on a delayed honeymoon in San Francisco but things at the ranch don't go so well with Buck, Blue, and Manolito managing it alone.

Storyline

The men are noticing that Big John is repeating orders he has already given so when he falls off his horse due to dizziness, the doctor diagnoses exhaustion as the cause. He needs time away from the ranch so Victoria convinces him to take her on their long delayed honeymoon to San Francisco while Buck, Blue, and Manolito each agree to manage different aspects of the ranch duties. Big John and Victoria enjoy their stay but Big John still has apprehension about the status of the ranch. He meets an older friend who struck it rich in silver who supplies some sage advice on management. They return to the ranch a bit early to find everything in a mess including the Apaches attacking the ranch each day. Blue has messed up the ledgers while Buck and Manolito has failed in handling the cattle sales. However, contrary to normal, Big John takes everything calmly and slowly works through each problem.
