After finding his wanted poster, Buck tells Victoria and Manolito about his life after the war as a wanted man. Big John was a lawman who tracked him down helping him against his Civil War pals who held up a bank for which Buck was wanted.

While cleaning house Manolito and Victoria open a locked chest finding a badge, handcuffs, and a wanted poster for a man looking like Buck. Buck comes in to explain the items and tells them he is the wanted man on the poster which has no name. He and friends after the war roamed around but could find no jobs so three of them decided to rob a bank which Buck was against. He made the foolish decision to intervene to stop it and instead was pegged as one of the robbers. A shooting during the robbery resulted in Parsons being wounded. Buck left alone only to be captured by a lawman who was Big John who he had not seen in five years. He tells Big John he is innocent who decides Buck's best action is to turn himself in to the law. However, Billings and Mobley are after him for interfering and are now after both Big John and Buck. After help from some locals, Buck and Big John are trapped in a barn by the two men.
