Big John recalls all the hands to the ranch as Buck finds a wounded Apache who attacks him. The Apache is taken back to the ranch which prepares for an attack. Three troopers arrive who inform them the Apache is Sangre who is their Chief.

Because of an attack at another settlement, Big John races out to recall the hands to the ranch. He and Manolito find Buck who discovered a wounded Apache who tried to kill Buck but failed due to his wound. They return to the ranch with the Apache and prepare the ranch for a sustained attack by the Apache. Three soldiers arrive who tracked them with the Apache who is Sangre Chief of the Apache who has led an army of 200 braves out of the mountains. Big John refuses to let them take or kill Sangre as he wants him as a hostage nor mistreated. A trooper is sent for help but gunshots say he didn't make it. The Apaches attack but help is needed. That night both Buck and Manolito sneak out to bring help. Manolito goes dressed as an Apache hoping it gives him an edge. Although he makes progress, Buck is captured. The Apache ask to trade him for Sangre but Big John refuses the trade. Manolito confuses the Apache with his costume and is able to steal a horse from them. The fight at the ranch ...
