Hetty is called in by Moira, the widow of a miner, Stuart, who died in an accident, he's gone, and so is his journal, years of his life and details of a fortune.
It's only a few months on since the end of series three, but there really is a different feeling about this episode, somehow a bit more grown up in tone. There's of course a bit of humour from Noreen Bainbridge.
It's rare to watch a story about Miners and pits, they have seemed a thing of the past for so long, particularly iron ore. This story really does capture a feeling of Northern grit.
This will always be famous for one thing, the out of the blue shower scene where the 22 year old Monaghan would show off his rear.
Happiness and Lonely Hearts.
Excellent, not just for the view. 9/10
