The Hawaiian Justice League.

The episode begins with an odd assault--a guy is attacked by guys with swords and other odd weapons. And, when they leave him beaten, the leader (Robert Reed) cuts an odd initial on the guy that looks a bit like a V. No, this is NOT another Vashon episode--and I'm surprised this was never mentioned (as this family was fond of leaving a similar calling card).

The train leads to a very, very exclusive country club. There, a group of sportsmen have formed a club that is intent on dispensing justice to dirt-bags that somehow beat the rap. Sadly, McGarrett and his team is intent on stopping them.

The plot is very similar to "The Star Chamber" and "Magnum Force" and even "Hawaii Five-O" and its episode "Mother's Deadly Helper", so it's not exactly a unique idea. Still, it is enjoyable--especially seeing Reed behaving in an unexpectedly macho fashion instead of a nice-guy like he played on "The Brady Bunch".
