Storyline

A serial killer brazenly tries to sell the rights to his story to a greedy book publisher, and then targets the publisher's daughter as his next victim after being turned down. The killer is the last person Danno books (this was the last episode filmed for the season and everyone was expecting the show to be canceled). Stunt man Beau Vanden Ecker's directorial debut features an incredibly wild chase and fight on a construction crane; the two stunt men on the crane get acting credit. Written by Peter Harris

Trivia

Beau Vanden Ecker's directorial debut. As a kind of jack-of-all-trades, he had been with Hawaii Five-0 since the show started, working his way up from stuntman to Associate Producer. See more »

Goofs

When McGarrett was going after the killer on the crane, both were obviously stuntmen. The killer had much longer and bushier hair as did McGarrett's double. McGarrett's double also appeared to have a mustache. See more »

The Test Of Revealing A Source!!
18 August 2007 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The opening clip had a naked woman taking a shower in "The Skyline Killer" from March 22, 1979. In the same opening part, the episode displayed the woman's left breast and the woman's left buttock while taking her shower ... the only time "Hawaii Five-O" had displayed any significant form of nudity during the show's twelve-year run. From there, the sound of a fire truck siren became prevalent in the show's opening sequel. The reason: a likely death from the rapist ... or so it may claim.

Actor Charles Cioffi played Mr. Kline in search for the killer for an exclusive. He may -- or may not -- be aware the killer had already raped and murdered eight women during the spree. Mr. Kline has been trying his best to keep his source hidden from the courts. Mr. McGarrett -- in obvious deference -- had told Mr. Kline to succeed in revealing his source to everyone in the courts and to Hawaii Five-O. Mr. Kline would later speak to his source -- as a provision of receiving some form of monetary renumeration in his interview. One final thought: the episode would be a rated a 10.5 in my book. Enjoy!!
