Trivia

The title comes from a term used by security traders for investors who buy stocks in amounts of less than 100 shares at a time (usually by smaller investors with less money to invest), as opposed to richer or institutional investors, who can more easily afford to buy stocks in much larger quantities. Goofs

When McGarrett and Danny Williams hear about the robbery at the Honolulu Stock Exchange on the police radio, McGarrett tells Danny to get down to the stock exchange. Danny is wearing a light gray or light tan suit when he leaves McGarrett's presence, but seconds later when he's shown running down the steps of the Iolani Palace to his car, he's wearing an olive or medium brown suit. A bit confusing at first, but well worth seeing...

This show begins with a stockbroker being killed. A bit later, a security guard in the same building is bludgeoned to death. Five-O cannot figure out how these killings are related or if they are.

This is an odd episode of "Hawaii Five-O" because the viewer really doesn't know what's going on until well into the episode. Yes, you know that somehow a ruthless businessman (Richard Basehart) is plotting SOMETHING and some horrible murders occur...but why?! As a result, the viewer's curiosity is piqued and you find yourself trying to figure out this complex crime. But, as I know little about stocks & bonds, I felt lost until it was all spelled out for me a bit later into the show. BUT, fortunately, the payoff was well worth it for two big reasons. First, Richard Basehart played a thoroughly conniving and despicable guy--a great villain. Second, it was very creative and written well.
