One of the best--thanks to a good story and a great guest appearance

I am surprised that in the trivia section for this episode that it didn't mention that James MacArthur's (Danny Williams) mother is Helen Hayes--the lady who stars in this episode. The great old stage actress plays an adorable old lady--sort of like a non-larcenous version of the lady she played in "Airport".

The show begins with Danny's aunt (Hayes) arriving for a visit in Hawaii. On the plane, this old flirt met a nice old man, Mr. Miller (Ian Wolfe) and she has her nephew drop off the man at his hotel. Later, the guy is attacked in his hotel room and he calls Hays--asking for help. The line then goes dead and she naturally calls Danny about this. But Danno is busy and passes this off to Duke to investigate. When he goes to the hotel, a man saying he's Miller answers the door and says he's fine--and the police drop the matter--assuming the woman was overreacting or imagining the incident. But she isn't to be put off or patronized and insists Miller is in danger. When his body is found soon after, Five-O realizes she's right. But why would anyone want to kill a nice old man?! Where the trail leads is very unusual and Hayes gets a chance to do a little undercover work! I'd say more but it would spoil the show.

This show is so good mostly because Hayes is adorable and an excellent actress. It also helped that WHY Miller was killed really was pretty intriguing. In addition to Hayes and Wolfe (who ALWAYS looked like an old man and seemed to live forever), Charles Durning stars as a baddie--providing three excellent guests in one episode! See this one.
