I paid a thousand dollars for the hire of that gun but you don't seem ready to use it.
Well to tell you the truth I don't really enjoy my work. But I think I'll see what the boys in the back room will have.

This episode is old home week for western character actors. Lee Van Cleef, DeForest Kelly, Jim Davis and even Buck Taylor from Gunsmoke. Everybody wants the money that Jess Hardin (Jim Davis) supposedly stole and hid in the ghost town before he went to prison. The wife (Jeanne Cooper) hires Paladin to help her in case there's trouble, which of course there is because of the $80,000 dollars. Greed seems to be the overwhelming emotion for everyone. The resolution of it all I especially liked. There's a lot of shooting and maneuvering to get to Hardin so he can tell where he hid the loot. This episode is a pleasurable diversion for half an hour.
