Camera zooms in on a prostrate Paladin on the floor, disheveled and dazednot exactly the usual series opening. Seems our roving knight was drugged and robbed. Now with help of blonde girl Susan, he hopes to get his money and dignity back. But robber is part of a family that runs the town. Paladin shoots one of them and he and Susan are chased out of town with the gang close behind. Things get complicated when Susan makes a play for the rugged hero.
Pretty good entry, especially the first part. The shootout is none too convincing, especially the conflab between Susan and rich man Keystone in the midst of flying bullets, but the twist with her is a good one. Entry is also notable for explaining why Paladin wears a chess knight on his holster and is pretty clever.
