Have Jenny, Will Follow, 28 May 2007

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

One of those episodes where Paladin really doesn't gain a client until the end. In San Francisco, he comes to the aid of Jenny (Ellen Clark in only her 2nd TV appearance) who is trying to get rid of Wilson (Peter Leeds) who is following her, along with his partner Matlock (Phil Chambers). The plot involves counterfeit money and a colorful character named Carruthers (Trevor Bardette). Paladin makes his usual fee when Jenny pays him to forget her.

There's some nice mystery elements to this episode. It might have been more powerful if Clark had been the kind of actress who could really dominate a scene and been the Bridget Wonderly to Boone's Sam Spade, but alas, she's not. So while the episode is entertaining, it lacks something that could have moved it from the merely enjoyable to the really good.

A insignificant bit of trivia: Phil Chambers, who plays Matlock in this episode, also played a character of the same name 15 years later on "Little House on the Prarie".
