The second part of Hardcastle and McCormick has the two men forming an uneasy alliance.
Hardcastle realises that Martin Cody is a person of interest. He has a history of getting into a business partnership. Then his partner ending up dead.
Cody wants the Coyote and some goons turn up with guns to Judge Hardcastle's house.
Both men go to Las Vegas. The Coyote car will be the bait. Rick Vetromile (Ed Lauter) who also hoped to race the Coyote is identified as the weak link.
They both hope to set up Vetromile as the patsy.
The second part of this episode gets going as both men arrive in Las Vegas. There are quirky bits such as Hardcastle has the Miranda rights card in his dressing gown. You get the feeling this is going to get formulaic very quickly.
