The second and final appearance of Robin Williams
kevinolzak23 September 2016
"Mork Returns" came near the end of the first season of the spin off MORK & MINDY, marking the second and final appearance of Robin Williams on the show that introduced his Orkan character one year earlier, mostly consisting of clips from previous episodes. Mork pays a second call on Richie Cunningham to learn more about relationships, both friends and family, with a rather brief encounter between former foes Mork and the Fonz. The clips are well chosen, and Mork's asides remain priceless, particularly in response to questions about Richie's future: "well, Mr. President!" Fonzie asks about cars and girls in the year 1979: "both are faster!" The entry concludes with Mork making an unscheduled report to Orson, his superior on Ork (as he always did to end each episode of MORK & MINDY), and his description of 'heavenly body' Mindy found this author in total agreement: "she must have something because I'd be willing to walk ten miles in snow to stand in her garbage!" Robin Williams made only one other appearance as Mork in another show, the short-lived OUT OF THE BLUE on Sept 9, 1979.
