The Lockdubh Deluxe takes its time with the storytelling - which is actually quite welcomed. The humor is macabre, Hamish shows himself to be both a very good cop and a good friend, and there is a lovely subplot about family and letting go. An episode that surprises the viewer with how lovely it is despite the dark backdrop. Well told tale.
