Not that bad of an episode
23 June 2013 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Actually this episode was not that bad. Oh yes, they went really overboard on the hillbilly talk and mannerisms but it was a uplifting show that was pleasant to watch.

When Eben Hakes comes walking into Dodge all the way from the Ozarks mountains, he asks where he can find Joth Monger. It seems that the Hakes' and Mongers' have a feud and Eben is set on killing Joth.

Marshal warns Joth about Eben being in town but it appears that Joth is not surprised by the news. He tells the Marshal that they have been feuding for years and someone has to die. It all comes to a head when Eben has his gun sights on Joth inside the Long Branch-- but something strange happens.

Again, not a bad show. A classic Christmas episode that provides hope and encouragement. I can only guess they wanted a humorous episode to end the year on because they played that hillbilly thing to the hilt.
