Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

In one scene, a father reaches across the table and slaps his daughter in the face. During the dialogue of the scene, the father first threatens he will kill his daughter's boyfriend and a few lines later threatens he will kill both his daughter and her boyfriend.

Profanity

The main character (Aunt Thede) purchases supplies needed to build, and does build, a still. However, other than one character taking a taste from the still and another taking a drink from a jug, there is no other drinking from this still though it is mentioned two or three times that "the Lord smiles on Hagen moonshine."
