Storyline

Meredith deals with her mother's illness and with her complicated relationship withe the Shepherds. There is still hope for her and Derek, because he didn't sign the divorce papers, but he himself does not know what to do. Meanwhile Burke and Christina also deal with their relationship and Izzie and Alex go for a date. But Alex is nervous because he might lose his M.D. so he does not act as himself.
