Storyline

Oliver's old friend, reporter Mort Warner, comes to Hooterville to relax and soothe his rattled nerves. He's ready to flee in less than one day. Mort is frightened by Lisa's syrupy coffee, hosed down with oil by Oliver's rickety tractor, and has his bed invaded by a TV-watching pig. Fred Ziffel peers at him naked in the outdoor shower, Mr. Haney gouges him with his phony Auto Club, the sheriff arrests him for stealing the Douglas' car, and quail-hunting Hank Kimball fills his behind with buckshot. Superb Classic Episode of This Series
29 April 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This to me is the funniest episode of this series. Mort Warner (Bob Cummings) is a big city nationally known reporter friend of Oliver's who is just exhausted & needs a rest. So he comes to Hooterville to see his friend Oliver & get a rest. When the Hooterville folks get done, he needs to go back to the city for a rest! The entire regular gang puts Mort Warner through 30 minutes you will never forget if your a fan of this series. It is so funny the way they torment him, that you will want to watch this one again & again if you need to lift your spirits. Hank Kimball (Alvy Moore) has some of his best bits in this episode. You will howl especially when the Hooterville folks figure out Mort Warner is somehow related to Doris Ziffel! Enjoy this one, it is solid!
