Is Courtney easily shaken? Afraid not.
28 October 2013 | by (Edinburgh.) – See all my reviews

Directed by Rene Bonniere and written by Peter Mitchell, this is a light-hearted episode of Goosebumps that has one or two minor scares but keeps itself busy trying to make young viewers chuckle.

Courtney (Charlotte Sullivan) is a good two shoes, much to the chagrin of Hat (Dylan Provencher) and Eddie (Kiel Campbell). Those two lads want to give Courtney a fright, to at least see her shaken up and acting less than perfect. but giving Courtney a good fright proves more difficult than they could ever have imagined.

While this won't please fans who like their Goosebumps a little darker and more twisted, there's plenty to enjoy here. The two boys are a lot of fun as they scheme together, Courtney is easy to root against and there's even a Mud Monster that pops up once or twice.

The acting is okay and the pacing is fine, but this is all about the humour. Which is perfect for the main audience.
