Heads up - this is a very good, ghostly episode.

A haunted house, kids playing pranks on people, a dark and stormy night (sort of). Yes, this episode of Goosebumps is full of classic elements put together to make something spooky and fun. And as the episode is called "The Headless Ghost" that's just what you expect.

Andreanne Benidir and Kenny Vadas play Stephanie and Duane, two kids larking about in an atmosphere that seems to demand a bit more respect. It's a haunted location known as Hill House (a name familiar to many horror fans) and the troublesome twosome spend a lot of their time there, going around and scaring people while a tour guide relates tales of the macabre history of the house. Of course, the tour guide (Otto, played by Dennis O'Connor) doesn't appreciate their hijinks and is often ejecting them from the premises. Which is why they think they will have so much more fun when the visit after hours.

Directed by Brian R. R. Hebb, with some sensible decisions made in the slimming down of the tale by R. L. Stine, this is another great Goosebumps mix of scares and fun.

Benidir and Vadas are okay, likable enough even while they're being a nuisance to others, and O'Connor has fun in the role of Otto. Sean Ryan and Daniel Goodfellow also join in with the shenanigans, and both of them seem to have a good time.

Everything comes together to make this an enjoyable episode and I can't imagine any fans of the show being disappointed.
