One of the worst Goosebumps episodes.
13 May 2009 | by (Long Beach, California) – See all my reviews

Goosebumps is a children's' show, and because of this, it is full of cheese and camp. That camp that this show delivered is what made it so much fun oftentimes. This episode was a bit too heavy on the camp, and on the bad special effects, and a plot which lead to a dead end making this one of the most pointless Goosebumps outings.

Ricky Beamer is picked on by his ruthless and downright evil schoolmates. They all call him Ricky the Rat, and the bullies go as far as eating onions and breathing in his face as a regular punishment (It's quite bizarre, I know). Ricky tries pulling a mean prank on one of the most consistent and mean of those who pick on him, but it ends up backfiring, and his phone number is given out, with the title "Calling All Creeps!". He ends up getting calls from creeps, which turn out to be lizard like creatures. They think he's a creep, and they want to turn the entire school into creeps. The ending is stupid, and this episode is quite ridiculous.

Ricky's not a very likable character, and the school bullies(which is like everyone at this school) are unbelievably mean, including a school wide chant of "Ricky the Rat!". The ending is what ruins this episode the most, but the rest of the episode is also pretty bad. This episode isn't as utterly ridiculous as How I Got My Shrunken Head, but in entertainment value it's much lower. It's probably one of the series' worst.

My rating: * out of ****. 30 mins. TVY7
