Storyline

Yvonne,preoccupied with her Open University course and her nephew's christening,is angry with Gary for spending a hundred and twenty pounds on a set of books about bombing raids in World War Two. This does,however,alert him to a raid which will take place that night and he is able to reach the Royal Oak and warn people,spending the night in the air-raid shelter with Phoebe. The police are suspicious that he knew the raid was coming. Yvonne is even more suspicious that he stayed out all night.
