"Evans Versus Davis" opens with JJ receiving an award for best contemporary art, unable to see it on television sue to the death of the Evans' old set. Dropping by to offer congratulations is Alderman Fred Davis (Albert Reed, second of six), who wants JJ to represent him with the city's youth, and when Florida puts her foot down Davis has her family evicted. The prospective tenants are ecstatic to look over the Evans apartment, willing to take a chance on the untrustworthy Davis because of the improvement on their current home. Now JJ has no choice but to speak on behalf of the Alderman's reelection campaign, which he chooses as an opportunity to 'pluck that turkey!' Albert Reed's corrupt Davis was introduced in "The Politicians," and would return in four more episodes.
