On a training mission Sgt. Carter has orders to do recon for a landing. Three tries to get away from the ship on rubber rafts thanks to Gomer they don't make it. All the Navy crew on deck are laughing it up. The CPO is teasing Sgt Carter each time. On the fourth time, Sgt Carter has to look out for a submarine this time without Gomer.
The CPO decides to send Sgt Carter a message so Gomer will be out with the Sgt Carter and the Recon Patrol for another good laugh. Gomer swims out to find Sgt Carter and as Gomer would say, .... Surprise, Surprise. What happens backfires on the CPO.
