When the episode opens we see Sgt. Carter and Corporal Slater getting ready to go to Hollywood to shoot a movie called "Leathernecks Of The Air". Carter gives Slater a hard time about wearing sunglasses, accusing him of "going Hollywood" to be like the movie stars. Then we see that Sgt. Carter is doing the exact same thing. Oh, Sarge!

Gomer will be going to Hollywood too and he tells Sgt. Carter that he's looking forward to adding autographs to his autograph book. Sgt. Carter looks at him like he's a moron.

So off to Hollywood they go, Sgt. Carter with 7 Marines in tow. They show up at the gate of the movie studio and the guard is not impressed. He thinks they're just sightseers. But then Sgt. Carter explains that they're there to work. The guard directs them to the commissary where someone is supposed to meet them.

In the commissary Sgt. Carter tries to hit on every female he can find and has no luck. His luck gets even worse when one of the women he hits on turns out to be a man! Oops! Retreat!

Gomer meets a pretty stunt woman who is very down to earth and not the Hollywood type at all, even though she wants to be an actress. She invites him to sit at her table since she's all alone. Then Carter, being the sleazy slimeball he is, comes up and starts hitting on her. Real classy, Sarge! Then they all go sightseeing together. Later that evening the stunt woman beats up two bad guys who are accosting her, but Sgt. Carter and Gomer get all the credit in the newspaper! This leads to complications, such as a TV interview with a famous host, and is the main story-line of the episode. Will they tell the truth? Tune in and find out.

This is a very funny episode. I especially enjoy the episodes where Sgt. Carter goes to Hollywood because it's then we see that he is just as smitten with Hollywood as everyone else even though he pretends otherwise.
