The title is from the 1953 song "The Man that Got Away" written by Harold Arlen, and the lyrics by Ira Gershwin for A Star I Born and became a standard for Judy Garland's act. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1955. See more »

When Major Barker comes to interview Rose about the UFO sighting, he asks Dorothy is her name Ms. Zbornak or Mrs. Zbornak. Dorothy never reveals her name to Major Barker at all when she answered the door so there is no way that he would have known her name in the first place. See more »

The One That Got Away (#4.3)
23 January 2014 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

The only guy who ever turned Blanche down comes to town. He is not as handsome as before but Blanche still tries to make her record with men perfect. Yet he keeps on turning her down. Rose and Dorothy see something flying over their backyard and think it is a UFO, only it turns to be some military testing.

A pretty fun episode. Feel very bad for the guy in Blanche's story but the way it ended was pretty creative. I thought they will just make him gay. Turns out he just thought he slept with her and not her sister.

The alien story was fun as well. Rose communicating with them by using flashlight and a mirror was great.Rose is such a cute character when it comes to her innocent and naive beliefs.
