Mary Has a Little Lamb (#5.13)
14 February 2014 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

The neighborhood girl comes over for a visit and turns out that she is pregnant at 16 and had a fight with her father. The girls take her in and try to get her father reconnect with her. And Blanche is writing romantic letters to a guy in prison, but when he comes out she feels she may have done a mistake.

Now this is an episode addressing the issue of teen pregnancy. Was fun to see Dorothy using a St. Olaf story to convince Fred to get back with his daughter, and it worked! Was also nice to recognize one of the gust actors, Julie McCullough. She did a good job as a pregnant teenager.

The prisoner story is there mostly for fun and did bring some laughs.
