Did You Know?

When Dorothy and Rose are discussing their plans to breed mink for fur, Rose asks Dorothy if she ever had mink clothing and she replies that Stan never bought her any. However, in the pilot (The Engagement) and Break In of season one, Dorothy is shown to have a mink stole. She tells Blanche that Stan bought the stole for her, which is why she is upset when it's stolen by burglars. See more »

End of the Curse (#2.1)
12 January 2014 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Blanche is late on her period and has pregnancy symptoms but she finds out that she is going through menopause. She is devastated because she thinks her life is over and even a trip to a psychologist doesn't help. but her friends and the hot vet make her feel better. They also think of making a mink business but the animals sold to them are too old to breed.

The episode is a bit too outdated to enjoy. I can't like people who want to make money on animal cruelty and they never even make regret of it. At least I am glad they lost their money. And I liked Rose that she at least wanted to keep them at the end. And the fact that they were gay was funny as well.

The issue of menopause is a good to address in this show, they did it fine.
