Miami, cuter than an interuderine.

Warning: Spoilers
The song contest may be the secondary story but it is more memorable than the main story involving Blanche's father (now played by David Wayne) and his younger fiancee (Sondra Currie) and how it affects Blanche. There's a lot of fun dialog between Betty White and Bea Arthur as they write the Miami tribute song and the typical sweet southern dialog between Rue and Wayne. "Get out the boots. He's back", Estelle Getty says in sarcasm. Then there's the delightful musical moments which ends with a delightfully funny Sophia visual as she be-bops to the music.

Big Daddy's Little Lady (#2.6)

Warning: Spoilers
Big Daddy comes to town again to announce his wedding. Blanche is all happy for him until she sees the bride who is even younger than herself. She is angry about it, but after some conversations with her friends she accepts it. Dorothy and Rose write a song about Miami for the contest to win $10000.

The main story explores relationships with great age differences and how society responds to it. Although I can't say that men are the ones who get the most heat for dating someone younger. I am glad it was all positive and they made it look that love is more important than age. Only I wonder why when Blanche dated someone younger it was age that actually mattered and was the reason why her relationship didn't work.

I loved the song contest story! So funny, loved all their attempts at creating a song. Too bad they didn't win, I think the end result was great!

All we have to do is find a rhyme for Orange.

Blanche is over The Moon when Big Daddy announces that he's getting married to one Margaret Spencer, Dorothy and Rose aim to win $10,000 in a competition to write a song.

It's definitely a funny episode, but it's also one of those that has a message, namely age gap love. There are some side splitting moments, Blanche's snipes at Margaret are a scream, but there is also that lovely, moving moment between Blanche and Big Daddy, it's so sweet.

What's so wonderful is that you see the variety and skills of two of its stars, Betty White and Bea Arthur, they can act, they can sing, they're just magical.

Once again I find myself just stunned at how gorgeous some of the fashions are.

7/10.
