Quotes

Rose Nylund: Blanche, you can't stay home from work forever. Can't you just swallow your pride?
Sophia Petrillo: There's no room for it. She just scarfed down a bag of Chips Ahoy!
Blanche Devereaux: Why are you insulting me?
Sophia Petrillo: It's a defense mechanism. I guess it's to hide my feelings when I'm deeply upset.
Blanche Devereaux: Oh, well I understand. In that case, I won't take it personally.
Sophia Petrillo: Thanks, you human mattress.

All Bets Off (#5.24)
17 February 2014 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Rose is working on some pictures of St. Olaf which can even be hung in the museum at the section for the local artists. She wants to see a horse before she paints one as she has trouble painting it out of memory and goes with Dorothy to the racing track. But Dorothy has had a gambling problem before and now she gets it again so that she has to go to Gambling Anonymous.

I kind of feel they made Rose more stupid in this episode than ever before. Still funny, but it kind of bothered me. I prefer her to be less of an idiot and just more naive and sweet.

Dorothy was good in this episode. And a good topic. But Sophia's insults to Blanche and Rose didn't do her justice. Come on, she can do better than that!
