Trivia

When Kirk busts Miss Patty for sampling fruit at Doose's, it is presented as though it is the first time they have ever met. However later in season four, Patty and Kirk are at Luke's together and Kirk keeps talking and he says to Patty, "Are you ignoring me?" Then Patty says, "Since you were old enough to talk, Kirk." That signifies that Patty has known Kirk since he was a baby. Also, in season seven, at Miss Patty's annual recital, we learn that Kirk took dance lessons with Patty. He performs the "journey of man" routine that it is said he first performed on Patty's stage 20 years ago. This also shows how long they have known each other. See more »

Goofs

Kirk, working at Doose's, chides Miss Patty for sampling from the produce section, but clearly is not familiar with who she is. In later seasons, multiple episodes make clear that Miss Patty has known Kirk since he was a child; for example, in one episode late in the series, Kirk performs a modern dance routine at one of Miss Patty's recitals and it is mentioned that he created and performed the routine 25 years before at Miss Patty's studio.
