Storyline

A stable hand is beaten to death and, in his dying confession, he says he was beaten up because he was asked to dope a horse. Gideon is asked to investigate race fixing at the local racecourse. When a trainer comes under financial pressure from bookies and has some unexpected personal expenses, he decides to accept a bribe to nobble one of his horses. Unusual betting trends alert the authorities that something is happening and Gideon visits the track to find out what is happening. He then devises a plan to catch the crooks. Written by jem
