GET Smart!

Warning: Spoilers
This time KAOS has decided to get serious about killing Max and Siegfried (Bernie Kopell in a brief but hilarious scene) has put a $250,000 price on his head. The Chief urges Max to take some time off and get away. Max refuses, determined to face the threat head on. KAOS tries again and again to kill him and the bounty goes up to $500,000. Max begins to suspect everyone, including the Chief and 99. When he attacks what appear to be innocent civilians he mistakes for KAOS killers, it looks like he's gone off the deep end.

But then when a CONTROL agent who has undergone plastic surgery comes to his house, Max decides to see the CONTROL plastic surgeon, Dr. Noodleman (Charles Irving, who made a career out of playing doctors, judges and colonels). His idea is he was not wrong about the people he thought were KAOS killers. He believes they just has plastic surgery, and were unable to change their walks and mannerisms. This turns out to be another situation where Max may be a bumbler, but he can be a brilliant spy as Dr. Noodleman turns out to be the one helping KAOS.

The assassination attempts on Max and Siegfried's all too brief scene are easily the highlights of this episode. Agent 13 (Dave Ketchum) also gets a nice scene as he thinks about what he could do with $250,000. But in general, the second half of the show is not as funny or entertaining as the first.
