Meghan was my least favorite character throughout. She's whiny, manipulative and capricious. So they obviously had to make her a victim of « almost » rape. With a guy she flirted with, knowing exactly who he was. The rape scene was the most ridiculous thing caught on camera. Not only did it not look convincing, but they added a big storm, with Meghan's air flying, like a witch calling upon the elements, to punish her assailant. It was grotesque. But the worst thing about it, was how everything played out the way you'd have expected. Her dumbo boyfriend attacked the guy, the parents fought, she threatened him, and then he backed down. Big revelation... To me, the only time they gave this kind of storyline justice in a (Fox) drama, was when Kelly was assaulted in the 9th year of 90210. It was rough and uncomfortable, and even though I hated her character as well, I felt sympathy for her and was shocked by what she went through. There? I laughed at this spoiled brat, poking the bear and playing the victim afterwards. Perfect episode for the #metoo generation, and that's not a compliment...
