Better than average

Compared to most 30 minute Gene Autry shows, this has more action and more music than most. It lacks logic: for example, Gene and Pat give all their cattle sale earnings to an itinerant parson, maybe because his daughter (Lisa Montell) is very fetching in her role. Still a ridiculous plot with illogical connections as most of these were. Gene sings three pseudo church songs. Since the words of the the songs are distinctly Judeo/Christian, why not just sing hymns, not songs that no one would have sung in those times. Gene looks a little tubby and slow in the fist fight scenes. Nice cast of supporting actors. More violent than I remembered the series being.
