Goofs
The professor says that when time jumps forward, people continue acting normally but simply have no memory of what happened in-between. If this is the case, why would the group be standing in the stadium at the end of the baseball game, then jump forward in time but still be standing there the next night when the circus has set up? This isn't what they would normally have done if time had passed at regular speed.

When the Harlem Globetrotters emerge from a flying saucer and challenge the Earth to a game of basketball the Professor rises to the occasion and says that he will take them of with a team of atomic mutants. Once his mutants are created he just has to send his crew to harvest some chroniton particles to age them. Once made the game goes ahead but something strange seems to be happening; time keeps suddenly jumping forward. At first the jumps are short but as time passes the jumps get longer if the keep on increasing at the current rate they will soon be at the end of the universe. The Professor and the Globetrotters come up with an idea; send the crew to move stars to change the gravity around the chroniton nebula. Unfortunately it doesn't work; although something Fry did means Leela has agreed to marry him, neither of them have a clue what he did though! With time running out they come up with another idea; all they need to do first is find somebody with a spare doomsday device!
This was a fine episode with just the right mixture of science fiction, humour and romance it also features a naked conga which can't be bad! The idea of having the Harlem Globetrotters being advanced physicists was pretty funny, as was the professor's team of mutants. Fans who have wanted Fry and Leela to get closer should love this even though they get married and divorced with neither of them knowing why; at least not until the end when we learn what Fry's amazingly romantic gesture was alas it was discovered too late for him to show it to Leela again.
