Did You Know?

When Fry turns Professor Farnsworth's x-ray device on Bender's head, the inner workings are revealed including a chip labeled "6052". The MOS 6052 was the chip that powered the Apple I computer. See more »

The Slurm Queen's description of honey coming from a bee's behind and milk coming from a cow's behind is not accurate. Honey is regurgitated through a bee's mouth, while milk comes from a cow's udder (though the Slurm Queen may have just been saying these things to make her own product sound more acceptable.) Leela: How can you trick people into drinking something that comes from your behind? It's disgusting!
Slurm Queen: Is it? Honey comes from a bee's behind. Milk comes from a cow's behind. And have you ever tried toothpaste.
Fry: Whose behind does that come from?
Slurm Queen: You don't want to know.

The One With The Slurm Factory...
18 April 2015 | by (Australia) – See all my reviews

I love this episode. I love its spin on Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and I love the disgusting-ness of Slurm's origin.

In this episode, Fry is addicted to a drink named Slurm. Slurm is having a competition, where you can win tickets to tour the Slurm Factory. So, Fry uses all of his might and eventually, he finds one of the winning soda cans. He and his friends visit the factory, but they find out the true origin of the drink. It comes out of a worm-like alien's butt. Gross. But, after being attacked and almost killed by the aliens, Fry doesn't care, but Leela and Bender do, especially after Bender was almost turned into soda cans.

Fun Fact: The name "Slurms McKenzie" is based on Budweiser's "Spuds McKenzie".

Overall, I give this episode a 10 out of 10.
