At the end of the fourth season, Becky finds out that she is pregnant, and in this episode, in the middle of the fifth season, she has twin boys, on Michelle's fifth birthday. It is revealed later in the season that Michelle's birthday is in November. However, Becky finds out she is pregnant during the summer (presumably around June, after D.J., Stephanie and Michelle all finish their school year). However, it is revealed that she has been having cravings for the past few days. Cravings typically don't show up until the second or third month of pregnancy, and it is usually the fourth month before a woman begins to show that she is pregnant. See more »

Danny Tanner: Oh, man, Becky, that was the toughest contraction yet.
Becky: Gee, Danny, maybe you should lie down.

The One Where The Babies Are Born
11 February 2014 | by See all my reviews

I love this episodes. Definitely one of my all time favorites. So, it's the moment Michelle has been waiting for. Her fifth birthday and she is so excited. Her party is a Flintstones theme which I think is so cute. Everybody is dressing up for the party. D.J. as Wilma, Stephanie as Betty, Joey as Barney, Danny as Dino, Jesse as Fred and my favorite, Comet as a dinosaur. And Michelle dresses up as a cave-girl for the occasion. The plot twist is that, even though it's three weeks early, Jesse and Becky's twins are on their way. Jesse and Becky tell everyone, down stairs, that it is time to go to the hospital, and everybody rushes out. For a moment, Michelle and her friends are left alone, so they decide to eat the cake. Joey, Stephanie and D.J. realize and come back in, but the cake is already destroyed. Michelle is upset because her party is cut short, and Joey tells all of her party guests to open the presents they brought for Michelle. I love when Michelle goes up to each kid and says, "like it, love it, saw it on TV", it was so funny. At the hospital, Jesse is experiencing pains, which everyone believes it's sympathy pains for Becky. It turns out he has appendicitis. And he can't be there for Becky. Danny instead becomes Becky's birthing coach. After she has the babies Jesse comes in and is all drugged up for his surgery. The babies are boys. Identical twin baby boys. They decide that they'll name one each. Becky names one Alexander, after her high school teacher who inspired her to go into journalism. Jesse names the other baby Nicholas, after his Dad, who, and I'm quoting "blessed him with great hair." Michelle is a bit upset because they all now share the same birthday but is happy when she finds out that, that means, three cakes. The episode ends with everyone singing happy birthday to Michelle, Nicholas and Alexander. My favorite quote from this episode is, Michelle: Is is time for my party yet? Becky: You still have two and a half hours. Michelle: How long is that? Jesse: A Sesame Street and a Mister Rogers. Michelle: Wow. Turning five is going to take forever. Overall I give it a 9 out of 10.
