A blind girl shelters Dr. Kimble after he flees a roadblock, but though the search ceases because the trap landed its target, a local robber, Mattie lies to Richard Kimble that the manhunt continues, with him as the prey. Her financially-strapped family dotes on the beautiful sculptress, who convinces them to hire Kimble as help on their South Dakota dairy farm, while she uses Kimble as a model. The Braydon family's warped dynamics further ensnare the empathetic physician-on-the-run. Written by

When the story begins, Richard Kimble is being chased by police and is desperately looking for a place to hide. He stumbles into the studio of a blind lady and she inexplicably agrees to hide him. Mattie (Piper Laurie) is a beautiful young lady who seems like a real angel...though through the course of the show it's obvious she's one of the fallen variety! That's because he begins seeing just how manipulative Mattie is and how she sets family members against each other. But even Kimble isn't prepared to see how far Mattie will go in order to control her family and she's even willing to murder in order to get her way!! What's worse....it's also apparent she might not even be blind at all!!!
This is a very interesting character study of a creepy, deranged lady. Laurie is mesmerizing at Mattie and her external beauty is a great counterpoint to her ugliness within! Well worth seeing and one of the better episodes of season two.
