Episode cast overview:
Jill Goodacre (as Jill Connick)

When a power-cut blacks out most of New York City, Chandler, to his delight finds himself trapped inside an ATM vestibule with Victoria's Secret model Jill Goodacre. She lets him use her cell-phone, and offers him gum which he instantly regrets refusing. He accidentally spits out her gum which he finally accepted, then picks up some to put back in his mouth and begins to choke when he realizes it wasn't the original gum. The others kill time in Monica's apartment, lit by the light from a Menorah, telling stories of the weirdest places they ever had sex. Joey tells Ross he waited too long moving onto Rachel and is now too far into the 'friend's zone.' Ross still tries to make a move on Rachel while stargazing on the balcony. Joey keeps the other girls inside by pretending Ross prepares a birthday surprise party for Monica. A wandering cat scratches Ross. Rachel and Phoebe go knocking on their neighbor's doors to find the cat's owner, seeing through odd neighbor Mr. Heckles's who lies ... Written by KGF Vissers

Did You Know?

The name of the Bank that Chandler is caught inside is called Emerson Bank. It has a purple logo. Executive Producer Kevin Bright is a graduate of Emerson College in Boston, MA. The college also has a purple logo. See more »

During the blackout, Monica uses the phone. If the phone were cordless, she would have been able to use it. However, the phone clearly has a cord, which means that it was plugged in and therefore would not usable if all of the power is knocked out. See more »

Chandler: Mental note - if Jill Goodacre offers you gum, you take it. If she offers you mangled animal carcass, you take it!

Perry Does It Again.
16 November 2014 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Matthew Perry makes it three awesome episodes in a row. Again his story line is not the main one, but lied the last episode he steals the show.

Plot In A Paragraph: There is a blackout in New York City. Joey (Matt Le Blanc) Ross (David Schwimmer) Monica (Courtney Cox) Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and Pheobe (Lisa Kudrow) head to Monica and Rachel's apartment, where Ross attempts to tell Rachel how he feels about her, despite Joey telling him he is in the "friend zone". Meanwhile across town Chandler (Matthew Perry) is trapped in his bank ATM Vestibule with model Jill Goodacre.

Once again, we get to meet a new character in Mr Heckles, a neighbour of Monica and Rachel. Another neighbour is cat owner Pablo. And I'd never heard of the expression "friend zone" till Joey said it. I know know it's harder to break out of than the Phantom Zone from Superman.

Whilst Ross lusting after Rachel is part of the bigger picture, the episode perks up whenever Perry is on screen.
