Storyline

Monica throws a baby shower for Rachel. The party is nice and everything goes well, until Phoebe tells Monica that there will be a stripper. Meanwhile, Joey is practicing for a casting to become the host of a new game show named Bamboozled. Ross and Chandler invite Joey to play basketball but he needs to practice for the casting and asks for some help. Chandler gets very uncomfortable because he feels like a fool, pretending to be a contestant, while Ross is enjoying it. Monica gets nervous because Rachel's mother arrives and she claims to have been invited in the last hour. Mrs Green tells Rachel that she will move with her for 8 weeks when the baby comes but Rachel doesn't like the idea and claims that she will be able to manage everything because has read some books. But when she opens her presents and sees all the strange items for newborn, she freaks out and concludes that indeed will need her mother's help. Written by Alejandro Frias

Goofs

Joey asks Chandler what film would you hear the line "Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges!" with Chandler "correctly" answering The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. However, this line is actually from the film Blazing Saddles, the line from The Treasure of the Sierra Madre is "Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges!". See more »

Quotes

Joey: Wh-what's complicated? You spin the Wheel of Mayhem to go up the Ladder of Chance, you go past the Mudhut, through the Rainbow Ring to get to the Golden Monkey, you yank his tail, and Boom! you're in Paradise Pond!

The One with the Baby Shower
5 September 2011 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

The fun part of this show is to see Monica being teated badly. I always keep laughing from what a horrible person she is to the ones who love her and care for her but how she can't handle someone else not liking her. Phoebe on the other hand is nice to her friends but doesn't care of someone unfairly mistreats her. Was really fun to see Monica kissing ass

The whole bamboozled game was a great idea as well. Especially to see how they really got into it at the end It is such a silly game and yet they had a lot of fun. I also liked how Ross used it to test Rachel on her knowledge about being a mom. Made me laugh so hard at the last scene where he says that she will be a bad mother
