Storyline

Chandler sleeps with Rachel's boss Joanna. Rachel makes him end it. Monica needs money so she agrees to cater her mother's party. Monica loses a fake fingernail in the quiche and discovers her mother bet with her dad that Monica would screw up catering the event. Chandler goes to break up with Joanna but ends up being handcuffed to the chair in her office half naked. Rachel has to uncuff him because Joanna is stuck with her boss and isn't coming back. But Rachel has to handcuff him back the way he was, otherwise Joanna will know Rachel was in her office. Monica impresses her mum with a wonderful dish for her guests after all and they finally get along. Written by Anonymous

Goofs

When the encyclopedia dealer offers Joey one book for $50, and Joey takes the "V" edition, he clearly has the $50 note in his hands as he flicks through the book. When the shot changes to the dealer one second later, he is tucking the note into his pocket. See more »

Pull a Monica

Matthew Perry is a great comedic actor, and this shines through in this fourth series episode of 'Friends'. His delivery of lines is impeccable, his use of physical comedy is great, and his story line makes up for the Monica/Phoebe one that I didn't find that funny.

Matt Le Blanc also does well with his story line, in which he is the only 'Friend' present. I think David Schwimmer must have been filming something else at the same time, because he barely features in this episode, which although a shame, at least gives us some respite from the Ross/Rachel on goings.

A great example of the talent that is Matthew Perry.
