Storyline

Although Rachel failed to properly proofread her xeroxed resumes she does get an interview for her professional dream coming true as an assistant buyer. Meanwhile Phoebe's baseless feminist suspicion that the boys' poker night is somehow a macho conspiracy leads to the girls insisting to participate. Teaching them poker rules is like explaining rocket science to Joey, so the girls loose crushingly. Competitive Monica demands a rematch, after advanced lessons from her experienced aunt Iris. Finally, it comes down to a duel between Ross and Rachel, but she gets a call first: the buyer job fell through. Written by KGF Vissers

One Of The Best Of The First Season
26 November 2014 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

One Of The Best Of The First Season Plot In A Paragraph: When the girls hear about the guys playing poker without them, they ask them to teach them, so they can join in. When the girls lose all their money Monica asks her poker playing auntie to teach them how to win and demand a rematch. When Rachel complains about them taking their money Ross gives a big speech about how "he is not a nice guy when he plays poker" Who didn't see the end of this episode coming? The Rachel applying for (and not getting) jobs she is not qualified for subplot was a bit lame, and only seemed to be there for the finale of the episode.

We all know Rachel had never worked a day in her life till she started at the coffee shop, no she is applying for big assistant buyer jobs at Saks on 5th avenue, and is surprised when she doesn't get them. Its only purpose was so she'd be sad as her and Ross go one on one in the last game.

That said I love Jennifer Aniston, and she looks very cute here
